Although vaccines are very safe and effective we can make mistakes in using them.

This is my associate.
Although it can be difficult, vaccines
must be stored & transported at the correct temperature.

If a Dog vaccinated in  Houston in the summer, runs two degrees of fever from the vaccine and then is put out in the
back yard on a hot humid day, he might
not get a good immunity

A typical allergic vaccine reaction,
swollen face and hives, is not life threatening in dogs.
Diarrhea and vomiting in cats is a life
threatening
reaction and must be
treated aggressively.

This disease, where a dog rejects it’ s
own blood, can have many causes.
Viruses are a known cause. Most experts feel vaccines can cause this.

Sphereocytes on a blood smear are an
indication of possible IMHA. In this case they were caused by flea anemia and the severe hypochromasia.

IMHA is a known rare side effect of
human vaccines.

I thought Jean Dodds was going way-out on a limb when she said she thought vaccines could cause hypothyroidism in dogs. This dog has mixedema in the face from hypothyroidism.

Research is currently being conducted on this possible link.

A temporal association has been shown
to link over-vaccination and hypothyroidism.

Dr Jacobson has noticed a temporal
association between Lyme vaccine and polyarthritis in dogs.

Dr Jacobson, a pathologist at Cornell, ret.,  has observed a temporal association between
Lyme vaccine and polyarthritis.

More evidence to support
poly arthritis can be caused by vaccines.

An incompatible combination of corona and distemper virus in a vaccine caused
encephalitis in over 186 dogs before the
vaccine was withdrawn from the market.
A tragedy from a vaccine they did not
even need.

For patients with poor immune systems the
main risk from vaccination is that they will
develop the disease the vaccine was intended
to prevent.

The Distemper virus in the vaccine reverted to virulence and caused these skin lesions.

Weimeraners 2 – 5 months of age are predisposed to developing HOD from MLV distemper vaccine. Signs include fever, swollen joints, lameness, coughing, diarrhea and oral ulcers. Juvenile cellulites, or puppy strangles
has also been attributed to this syndrome.
Malik, Concurrent Juvenile Cellulites and MOD, Aust Vet Practice, 25:62-65, & Development
of HOD in a litter of vaccinated
Weimeraner puppies, JSA Pr 43(1):27-31, Jan 2002 Merials recombinant distemper vaccine is a subunit vaccine so it cannot cause this side effect.

Dogs can develop distemper encephalitis from the virus in the vaccine. I have seen this in dogs vaccinated at 3-4 weeks of age.
